A style guide defines the areas beyond grammar that give a website or a publication consistency. For example, the guide gives rules about
  • the way that numbers should be expressed
  • how lists and bullet points should be presented
  • how quotations should be shown.

An example of the style guide that I use will be shown on this website at some future point. It will be based on New Hart's Rules, the definitive guide to good English.
